The Goa Wedding Co. is a wedding planning and design studio based in Goa. The people who will run your wedding are from here, and they own a share of the company that does it.
None of them are on a venue’s brochure. All of them will shape your day more than the colour of the flowers.
Amplified music outdoors stops at 10pm across Goa. It comes from the national noise rules, and the Goa bench of the Bombay High Court enforces it hard. There is a short list of notified days each year when it runs to midnight.
So we build the evening backwards from ten. The sundowner starts at five, dinner is served early, and the party carries on in a room built to hold the sound.
From June to September the monsoon takes the outdoors off the table, and the beach shacks come down for the season. October is the reward — the state is green and the rates have not caught up yet.
December is the other extreme. Christmas week prices are a different sport, and the good rooms are gone twelve months ahead.
What you can put on the sand — a structure, a sound system, how late it runs — is decided by the panchayat that beach sits in, not by the resort behind it. Two beaches ten minutes apart can give you two different answers.
Knowing which office to walk into, and who is sitting in it, is most of the job.

The studio was founded by an architect, and it still behaves like an architecture practice. Your wedding is drawn to scale before anyone orders a flower.
Nothing we build is pulled from a rental catalogue. The mandap, the backdrops, the tables, the lighting plan: all of it is designed for your wedding and made for it, in our own workshop, by our own team.
Most people planning a Goa wedding are choosing between coordinators, who book the vendors and manage the schedule. That is a real service and some of them are very good at it. It is not the same job as designing the thing in the first place, and couples usually find that out somewhere around the mandap.

October is the quiet answer: the monsoon has cleared, Goa is greener than it will be all year, and season pricing has not started.

It is not a problem once you plan for it: we start the evening earlier and move the late half of the night into an indoor space that is licensed to hold it.

No, and most of our couples are not. They are in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, or abroad. Being local is our job, not yours — we walk the venues, sit with the panchayat, and send you back photographs and drawings. Couples usually visit Goa once or twice before the wedding.
Our own team. The planners are Goan and on our payroll, and they hold equity in the company. That matters more than it sounds: the person managing your wedding is not a freelancer booked for the weekend who you will never hear from again.
